Hey there!

I’m Kelly Cooper.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I’m committed to helping you examine the obstacles that are holding you back from living the best life possible.

I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my work, with a Master's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, complemented by a minor in Sociology, all earned from Angelo State University. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to accumulating a significant amount of experience in the field of counseling. By working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I have honed my expertise and developed a deep understanding of their unique needs.

Additionally, I have had the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion as a college-level instructor of psychology courses. My combined experiences in counseling and teaching have not only enriched my skills but have also allowed me to make a meaningful impact in helping others navigate their personal journeys toward growth and well-being.

My dream job is to be a professional student as I love to learn new things. I am fascinated with the the human mind and discovering how we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. The next best thing is to share what I have learned one on one with my clients to help them know and understand themselves on a deeper level.

A modern approach

I have advanced training in various evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities. This includes Lifespan Integration, which focuses on processing past experiences; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps clients identify and change unhealthy thought patterns; Solution Focused Brief Therapy, which emphasizes finding practical solutions; and Motivational Interviewing, aimed at enhancing intrinsic motivation for change. Each of these approaches is designed to support individuals in their healing journey effectively.
